Cunningtons LLP are proud of the Anglia Ruskin University Mentoring Scheme
Each year our solicitors take on a mentee who is currently in their second year at Anglia Ruskin and stay with them throughout the year to provide them with advice in respect of their legal careers.
This year one of our Partners, Bryony Wilmshurst mentored Tom.
Tom commented:-
“I am a second year student at Anglia Ruskin University and currently I am a mentee with Cunningtons, in particular Bryony.
“I decided to do the mentoring scheme for many reasons. Firstly, it has enabled me to develop my communication skills, as well as, my overall competency.
“Bryony has largely helped me to improve my confidence and my ability to execute tasks at hand. The mentoring scheme has given me the opportunity to practice accepting feedback from a consistent and reliable source in Bryony.
“Not only did Bryony introduce me into the legal world, she has also provided me with valuation advice that I simply could not have gained elsewhere. Furthermore, the mentoring scheme has allowed me to learn to develop a professional relationship and how to maintain it. In addition, I have been given the opportunity to expand my pool of contacts and opportunities.
“Bryony also offered to give me future advice as well if I require this which is going above and beyond what could have ever expected.
“Finally, the mentoring scheme has allowed me to gain insight into the real-life legal world like I would not have been able to without the scheme.“
